I’ve been building things my whole life — but it took a Big Five consulting career and a pandemic to turn that into a profession. In 2018, I did my first project, and when the pandemic hit in 2020, I made the leap from managing business and technology projects to full-time general contracting — betting that creating somewhere someone could live, right in my own community, would be more fulfilling than getting on a plane to help a distant company.

It was the best decision I’ve made.

I’ve gone all in: earning formal education in construction, architecture, and real estate to back up what I’m managing in the field. That combination — corporate rigor paired with on-site expertise — is what Isbell Built is all about. I bring the same discipline I once used to manage seven-figure consulting engagements to every permit, every budget, and every finishing touch on your project.

Today, I’ve completed 16 ADUs primarily in Hancock Park, Silver Lake, and Pasadena, helping homeowners add space for family, home offices, and entertainment areas — and real value to their properties — without the headaches that so often come with construction.
